Study programme MEDICAL CHEMISTRY AND CLINICAL BIOCHEMISTRY
ANNOTATION
The main goals of this project are 1) design, synthesis and characterization of [n]helicenes and helicene-like molecules, and 2) study of their interactions with broad spectrum of biomacromolecules, DNA and proteins. PhD applicant will be involved not only in experimental but also in computational projects concerning chemistry and toxicological evaluation of helical aromatics. The main impact of these projects will be in pharmacology, toxicology and related disciplines.

Background in biochemistry, analytical chemistry and molecular biology.
Evaluation criteria:
Knowledges of basic topics in biochemistry, a good command of English, scientific motivation and innovative thinking shall be appreciated.
The annual tuition fee for the post-graduate study programme conducted in English is set as EUR 3,000.
